Activity 3B – Public Involvement Practice

Consider a project which has been or may be subject to EIA in your locality.

Reflecting on the Public involvement techniques page, spend 20 minutes writing a list of the benefits of Public involvement for the project.

Discuss two methods you would use to get public involvement and why you would use those in preference to other methods.

Work through the list in the Table 3 and specify on your list what outcomes of the project would be improved by substituting ‘stakeholder dialogue’ in place of ‘traditional consultation’.

  1. Dear Sir, madam,

The link “Public involvement techniques” doesn’t seem to be right.

It is difficult to know which table you are referring to as tables are not numbered in the text. If it is not possible to number the tables, perhaps you could refer to the paragraph ( or link to EIA WIKI) in which the table is to be found.

    Kind regards

  2. Thank you for your comment. I have updated the link. You should now be able to find the correct page in the EIA-wiki.

We really appreciate you spending the time to help improve the course module.

    Best regards
